Jacinta Jaye is an actor and comedian based in Australia. She did the whole Shakespearean theatre thing and the “Grease the musical” thing, then after a multi-year stint of touring across UK and Europe in a rock band, Jacinta decided it was time to save her hearing and limit the late nights by instead focusing on stand-up comedy. Have the late nights stopped? Look, probably not but the material they help produce makes it worth it.
Since starting stand-up comedy in 2022, Jacinta has committed to gigging regularly in venues around Melbourne and Sydney. In 2023 she placed as a Victorian State Finalist in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s RAW Comedy Competition and has since continued to sharpen her material and presence. Jacinta’s style is attributed to her Balkan upbringing, plus her ability to overthink, overanalyse and overreact to even the most mundane things — she might even yell a bit, but it’s okay because it can be endearing.
